Calvin Harris Reckons 2018's EDM Scene Is Too "Sad" And "Slov"

Calvin Harris – an incredibly rich DJ and producer, a lingerie model – will always be associated with EDM: some of his greatest hits at the beginning of the decade were mentioned in the spread of the genre into the masses. But he seems to want to break those connections.

In the latest mini AMA on Twitter, Harris asked the fans whether he ever returned to EDM: his latest album Funk Vav Bounces Vol. 1 he was in charge of the disco and … funk (ghost), while the huge singles "One Kiss" and "Promises" this year's singles in the 90th house.

In response, Harris was quite honest, saying that EDM "does not have anything in common with the music I like to make."

"EDM was a sad, slow song for years," he wrote. "I have nothing in common with the music I love." 2010-2014 EDM has been more houses under the influence of me. In any case now I'm getting out of the bubble and making great records with incredible singers that sound like home music for me. "

Some did not appreciate Harris's comments – one user accused him of paying the most money for coin hunting.

"Just say you're selling out" they wrote. "You would not do what you do if you did not blow up. I do not think Old Calvin would cooperate with random rappers and such." EDM does not require that you obviously go down to less risk and more gain. "

Harris, like all good DJs, grabs it back. "Lud what do you think you know about my career or mind" he wrote. "My first vinyl that I pressed in 2004 had a rapper on it. I do what I do because I like to do it."
