A third of the people in the UK reduced meat consumption Inhabitat



New report on the purchase of food in U. K. shows that one of the eight Britons is now a vegetarian or a vegan, and another 21 percent is identified as a flea market. This means that about a third of consumers U.K. deliberately reduced or eliminated meat from his child, and highlights the revolution in eating habits of citizens of U.K.

Vegetarians have a diet that eliminates meat, livestock and fish, while vegans eat vegetarian nutrition and completely avoid all animal products. Flekitarians eat largely nutrition based on vegetables and only occasionally supplement with meat.

The report comes from the supermarket chain Vaitrose, who studied the selection of British food in all UK supermarket chains. The study shows that people are thinking about how they can individually confront climate change, and avoiding meat and dairy products is one of the greatest ways in which you can reduce the environmental impact of the planet.

The Vaitrose report comes from a survey of 2,000 adults who are buying various vendors, plus researching millions of transactions in stores and online. The report found that the most likely age range is that the transition to veganism would be between 18 and 34 years old.

"It is extremely encouraging to find out how many Britons decide to reduce the consumption of animal products," The Guardian Nick Calmer, head of the Compassion and Vorld Farming U.K. Palmer added that science shows that the healthiest diet is strong from the plant, and when you eat less meat, fish, eggs and dairy products, you can help animals, people and planets.

The Vegetarian Society claimed that the number of vegans in the U.K. increased by 400 percent in the last four years, from 150,000 to 600,000. In May last year, Vaitrose became the first U.K. who put dedicated vegan parts in his stores, and also launched a line of vegan and vegetarian dishes that are ready to eat.

Vegetarian cuisine has also entered the mainstream of the U.K., and many chains increase their non-meat and non-milk options. Some restaurants have also created vegan menus, as more and more people find out how tasty vegan foods are.
