The third edition of the video games of the Expo Barcelona Games World (BGV) will be held in the Spanish city from 29 November to 2 December, with 195 exhibitors present.
Gamers will be able to continue to enjoy news from major brands, but they will also be able to live experiences that go beyond the console
The event that will be held in Fira de Barcelona Gran Via expects to exceed 135,000 visitors on an area of 52,000 square meters, 17% more than in 2017, and change dates to bring them closer to the Christmas season.
BGV's Director, Josep Antoni Llopart, told a press conference that this edition is a "milestone" and a consolidation of the show, with a clear commitment to "continue to revolutionize the model and offer a show" through six areas where the space will be divided.
"This year will be spectacular and above all will cross the screens, we want to make the experience completely different, which go over the console and we have handled our hands with the main brands," said Llopart, who predicted that the Saturday Tickets will be 1 December are already sold out.
Among other initiatives, the event will host the first edition of Vodafone # ivertigo, which will allow visitors Saturday to play games from a range of Nintendo Shitch games suspended at a height of 50 meters compared to another 21 players.
Also, participants can take part in a terror tunnel or 988-square-foot "begging hall" designed for a hundred people set in the symbolic game Resident Evil 2, which will be installed for the first time in the hand of HorrorBok and Escape Barcelona.

Among the brands that will participate in the exhibition space are Sony; Bandai Namco; Capcom; Epic Games; Blizzard; Koch; Nintendo; PlaiStation; Skuare Enik; Varner Bros Interactive or Xbox, which will bring the titles known as Fortnite
The role of RetroBarcelone in the new edition of BGV is included as one of the major video games in Catalonia. The sixth edition of RetroBarcelone will expand over 5000 square meters of exhibition with classic systems, arcade machines, balls and table football.
BGV will host for the first time in the field of e-sport Iberian Cup, organized by Riot Games and the League of Professional Video Games (LVP), which will feature more than 1,700 spectators who will decide on the best professional team on the Iberian Peninsula of the legendary videogame.
Executive Director of LVP, Jordi Pomarol, said the competition will have an audience screening of up to 300,000 people.
The e-sport area will also have a new space to compete for video games via mobile devices, with titles such as Clash Roiale, Hearthstone and Fortnite.
On the other hand, BGV will host the largest space in Europe dedicated to impressive experiences, KSRZone, with suggestions for games that use virtual reality, enlarged and mixed.
Director Vision Pere Perez said that this area will be articulated to 1,500 square meters in which there will be "exclusive launching of more products or impressive experiences" aimed at "transferring these technologies to the maximum number of people, because it is often difficult to access them. "
BGV will have an area dedicated to professional meetings in this sector, educational space and RetroBarceloni, which will in the sixth edition lead SEGA, with former CEO of America Tom Kalinin, as a special guest.
