A $ 10 million monster breaks its record
Jason Taumalolo is a freak. And if anyone needs any proof of that, do not look beyond Saturday night's game in Townsville.
Taumalolo jumped 301 meters against St. George Illavarra, breaking his previous best score of 283 sets before two seasons.
He even finished it by breaking the line and by setting up a cowboy late at night, concluding his new record.
No Billy, do not worry, because Storm finds a new gun no.1
Jahrome Hughes made the most of his choice in defense, as he was selected for Craig Bellami as a player of the match in the Olympic round to defeat Broncos.
New Zealand representative Maori should have been scheduled for the empty jersey No.1 in favor of Scott Drinkvater.
But after Drinkvater suffered serious injuries in Melbourne, Hughes was promoted.
He still had to make a statement after allegedly picking up the back of the coach during the pre-season training, and with a high-ranking 20-year-old Ryan Papenhuizen breathed through the door.
But he did just that, producing solid performance with an attempt that gave Storm an early swing.
If it continues to play the way it did on Thursday night, it will be very difficult for these two young cannons to take the jumper away from him.
Edrick is electric
Edrick Lee came against his former club, so it was a lot of pressure on him to perform.
He had a chance to be a hero from the first half. However, when the line asked, he made a catastrophic sweep when he lowered the ball that was lighter than the cladding.
But another came in, Lee more than compensated.
He pulled some brilliant defense, coming from his wings to make life difficult for Cronulla Center Josh Dugan.
The sharks should have noticed that Lee stepped back to stop their performances, because in the end they had strangled it.
In its line and balance game, the wing jumped out of the defensive wall of Vitez to pick up the speculative passage of Chad Taunsend.
Turning to the point, Lee went to the length of the field to descend under the pillars.
Reinolds's masterclass makes Bennett's air
The game on Friday night was supposed to be a big celebration of the Cronko Cup for 350 matches, but his opponent number 7 stole the show.
Playing Adam Reynolds was on the spot during the Roosters clash, which was ultimately the first victory of Vaine Bennett at Rabbitohim.
Two of the three cunning plamakers, three attempted assists, came from strikes that were rejected by posts.
Warriors get half out of Johnson's shadow
Life without Shaun Johnson started impressive for Varriors, with Blake Green and Adam Keighran who presented Varriors for a massive victory of 40-6.
The duo perfectly fitted with fullback Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and stand-in whore Nathaniel Roache to pass a series of attempts.
The victory was the biggest victory of the 1st round of the Warriors and the biggest victory over Bulldogs.
Kickers on the line of fire
The NRL's legends reacted angrily to the kickers attack during the first round of the season.
Broncos Conductor Matt Lodge and Manli preacher Addin Fonua-Blake were both charged with a dangerous contact to throw in the legs of the opposite shooters Cameron Munster and Benji Marshall.
"It's definitely no-no. It's completely out of the game, " Fok League said expert Danni Buderus.
Legend of the League Peter Sterling wants the NRL to fall heavily on the perpetrators and to remove it from the game early in the season.
"The problem in both cases … is to take a look at the target so they do not know where to hit," Sterling told Channel 9. t
"He is not more vulnerable than a kicker in the air because he has no protection. The only savings in both cases are Benji Marshall and Cameron Munster have not suffered a serious knee injury.
"It's a matter of time if we continue.
"First Sunday, every player knows you can not do it, there are a few examples. You just do not do it."
That's crazy! Friel's grizzly injuries
Proterivač St. George Illavarra Tison Frizell will miss at least a month after star Origin had suffered a testicle test while trying on Saturday night to grab the Jordan Kahu in Kueensland.
Frizel hurried into the hospital after the game and underwent a grizzly operation, setting a photo with his newborn son from a hospital bed the following morning.
With Korbin Sims (Suspended) and Jack de Belin (who withdrew) they have already withdrawn, and Dragons' actions have been severely hit before their conflict with South Sydney on Thursday.
It was not the only significant injuries that came out of the weekend when Nathan Brovn (biceps) and Hame Sele (broken arm) suffered long-term difficulties.
James Roberts will also miss a few weeks with back injury.
Bromvich goes from scratch to hero
Jesse Bromwich would want AAMI Park to swallow her grass after donating Corea Oates an attempt to return Broncos back to the competition.
With the remaining 20 minutes per hour, and hosts up to 16-6, vice-captain Storm was battered by Jack Bird and Matt Lodge when he unexplainedly released his hand and forwarded the ball straight to Oates.
The Brisbane wing ran 40 meters to reach its second night.
However, the big bopper did not take long to recover.
Five minutes later he broke through the emptiness of Cameron Munster, 25 meters from Broncos's triline, and defeated Darius Boid and ended up with a simple doll.
The four assured that Storm came home.
Lippi Valker, who set fire to Latrela, is once again the oldest conflict of the NRL
Another chapter was added to one of the great rivalries of the rugby league between South Sydney and Sydney Roosters.
Clubs fought on Friday with Rabbitohim who surpassed their archives, but that's what happened before full-time and post-match that will add a lot of spices the next time they meet.
During the game, numerous pirates appeared, and Codi Valker and Cooper Cronk once appeared.
After the game, Walker was accused of "disrespecting" his opposite number. 6 Luke Kearney, while the addition of the Rabbithoff star got what comes to him if he keeps him.
Root firefighters Latrell Mitchell also admitted that Bunnies players were under his skin, and almost bumps came into play late.
Klein's call almost cost Eels
Judge Ashley Klein could be happy. Parramatta won Penrith on Sunday in the first round.
His controversial decision to send Eels veteran Michael Jennings into the bin for sin in the second half returned Panthers to the game, and almost swept the result in his favor.
Penrith scored only two tries in 10 minutes when Jennings was in the lead, leaving Eels to defend with only 12 men.
BLOV UP: Ennis disagrees with the controversial call for error
Jennings accidentally struck Isaac Ieo over his chin, while Penrithov advanced forward.
It was controversial, because although Ieo was shocked and thrown out of the field, Jennings' action was obviously an accident and the attacking player fell.
