Orange has designed with the "Orange Phone" iOS and Android application for detecting spam calls. Its main function is not reserved for operator users.
The app was released late last year, but Orange did not release the audience, despite its free and interest to be able to preserve commercial demands on its mobile phone.
On iOS, once downloaded, it must be activated in the "Phones" section of the system settings, in the "Call Blocking and Identification" row. The Tutorial in the application gives you all the instructions to follow (no registration or account creation is required, help is there).
The application integrates with the iOS call management interface. If a number appears to originate from a service seeking company or a company, it will be indicated. When the number is on a list maintained by Orange – and enriched by application users through their own experience – the interface will display information about the possible caller profile. An excessive number of calls will also be detected.
Orange users have the right to reverse directory service and identify overburdened calls. Others have the basic function of not responding to the call. This application can not do anything against hidden numbers or SMS spam.
This application now has several weeks behind it, if you already use it, your opinion in comments on its efficiency and limitations is welcome!
