The study's chief emphasized that preliminary conclusions are and that it is possible to transfer bacteria into samples in the preparation of tissue for analysis. However, if the results are confirmed, the discovery may show a close relationship between microorganisms and the brain.
It is believed that the brain is protected by a hematoencephalic barrier that prevents substances and cells from other parts of the body.
