It's the 17th city murder of the year in the city.

In the middle of the evening, about seven police cruisers were grouped around a part of the parking lot in the northern part of the market, between CIBC Bank and Mucho Burrito restaurant.

The area was covered with a yellow tape, but the shops themselves remained open, and customers were still busy.

A protester said he saw the police scan the country near the bank with lights as if looking for shells.

However, shop staff near the scene said they did not see anything about the shooting. All windows in these stores are facing from the east to Street Street, and it looks like the shooting was right around the corner and outside the view from there.

Part of the South Keis shopping center was blocked while officers of the Ottawa Police Service investigated the shooting that occurred there on Friday, November 23, 2018. Tom Spears / Postmedia.
