The Western Siva police say the vehicle was sunk in the South Saugeen River located by the recovery unit.

The police say the terrain was found about a mile downstream of a place believed to have entered the river.

The Hanover Rescue Team, the OPP team and Aiton Firefighters have helped in the search.

The police say the vehicle is currently under water at 20 feet and is not visible from the air or river banks.

The vehicle will remain in the water until it is safely removed.

The West Gray police identified a dead man found in a river as 24-year-old Gregory Steven Glen McTavish of Wing.

On Saturday, the police responded to a vehicle report that traveled at a high speed on Victoria Street in Aiton at around 16:15.

More than an hour later, the police announced that one SUV was seen driving to the South River Saugeen.

The police attended the scene and found the body of the deceased man.

The West Grays Police Criminal Office seeks to identify all people who are known to be associated with the vehicle registered at the Vingham address.
