Leonids are known for being one of the most spectacular meteorological storms in recorded history. They tend to appear every 33 years, although the last occurred less than 20 years ago in 2001.
In 2018, expect to see 15-20 meteors per hour during silence on Saturday night, according to AccuVeather. The great point is the Leo constellation, but the meteors will fall to all parts of the sky.
Although the Moon is in its dense phase, it will be set up after midnight and leave the sky open for the dazzling show of the star of shooting.
