It's a sad day for those of us who grew up to a great extent relying on physical video game guides. Prima Games, one of the biggest players, is performed after 28 years of business. Her parent company, DK, said it was not an easy choice to stop production from different strategy guides. Operations were completed by spring 2019.
People just do not buy so many guides. You will also find that today much information is available online. There is something to be said about raising guides that came with a sweet physical bonus such as a poster, a figure or even something for you to wear physically as a necklace (e.g. Tomb Raider Guide). I really want to take this opportunity to thank you for accepting that I was so much of my childhood; I would actually read these guides to cover before I play the game!
I own a lot of Prima guides and have been quite useful in the past and in the last few years. Now they will become nothing more than collector items. Although new guides will not be guided, they end up with what is already in their production agenda. Fans who grew up with Prima Games like me, are probably shocked, but they are not surprised by these news. We here at Nintendo Enthusiast want all Prima Games employees to be fortunate in their future career moves.[Source]
