The Dominican health authorities are on alert for cases of rabies

Listin Diario, Minister of Health, Raphael Sanchez, said that all necessary measures had been taken to avoid more people being affected and denied that there was a major epidemic in Pedernales.

Last Friday, in Reid Cabral, a child under six years of age died of a rabies virus after he bitten a dog seven months ago.

In this case, there are three deaths in this country due to this disease.
