Unlike the traditional one, the consumption of craft beer brings many benefits for the human body, among which is the prevention of cellular aging, avoiding closing and reducing the risk of heart disease, due to its completely natural composition.
Beer is one of the oldest drinks in humanity and the most popular in the world. After water, tea and coffee, this is mostly caused by beer and Chile estimates that consumption per capita is close to 70 liters a year, it is positioned as one of the countries most consuming in Latin America.
In this industry, the consumption of beer crafts is increasing in our country, which shows a great offer on the market. "The difference between these two is the preparation: while the traditional use of less raw materials and more unnatural preservatives, craft beer is undergoing a natural process and without additives," says Francisco Podlech, founder of Nekobeer, dedicated to disseminating and distributing craft beer.
Several studies have revealed the multiple health benefits of traditional beers, which are further intensified with the consumption of craft beers. This does not mean that it is now allowed to be taken daily and through it, but that this gain is produced by taking moderately.
Moderate beer consumption accounts for 42% less risk of heart disease, according to a study by Italian scientists published in the European Journal of Epidemiology. This is because the polyphenols it contains help reduce the risk of developing heart-related pathologies.
Since craft beer is made from 90% water, this hydration reduces the risk of developing kidney stones. "With the number of times we go to the bathroom every time we have a few beers, the kidney is constantly working, keeping it healthy," says Podlech.
As for the previous one, beer craft has a high level of potassium, which according to the report of the Spanish Society of Hypertension – League for the fight against arterial hypertension and the Center for information on beer and health, produces a diuretic effect, eliminating water and electrolytes in the body, preventing constipation.
Another advantage that moderate beer consumption has shown in previous research was that the presence of natural antioxidants in this beer helps to reduce oxidative phenomena that are responsible for cellular aging. In other words, beer slows down age.
"Craft bean ingredients are of natural origin, making it partly healthy by drinking, which also brings multiple benefits. In Chile, consumption and production have become widespread, have reached supermarkets and appeared in ventures such as ours, which requires the spread of craft beer from various parts of the earth, "he explains.
