The runners kept cooler than the usual temperatures to complete the Nashville half marathon, marathon and 5K on Saturday morning.

With temperatures in the 1930s, hundreds of runners competed at an event that began and ended in Nashville Sounds First Tanks Park.

The event, sponsored by Rhithm Running, was used by the Gildin Club in Central Tennessee, which provides support to patients and their families.
