After a long time, Fiat has given us a new and unique concept of design. The Fiat Fastback concept was presented at the Sao Paulo Auto Show in Brazil. It also marks their intention to take over Nissan Kicks and others. According to a press release, this represents the brand's evolution. This gives us an overview of the upcoming trend and the point in which Fiat is going. The Fastback concept was designed at the Fiat Design Center Latam in Brazil. If it is believed in Fiat, this design study will affect future production models and includes a segment of utility vehicles.
The Brazilian branch in Turin claims that the concept of the Fiat Fastbacka is an Italian soul and that it has bold lines that express elegance and sportiness. The design of this crossover coupe is based on the new four Fiat Designa principles in Latin America, which are human, brave, more modern and flexible and flawless. Interestingly, the Fiat Fastback concept is described as a hybrid between coupe, SUV and sedan. Another interesting aspect of the concept is that it is inspired by Toro Pickup. It is obvious from the shape of the grille and the front lights. Other aspects are quite different from Toro.
The Fiat Fastback concept features a sloping roofline with a raised rear end and a tilted rear screen. It looks a lot of muscular and characteristic for many SUVs. Like many other concept cars, the Fiat Fastback concept comes with door handles, and the side mirror moves the video camera's way. The cabin has a futuristic control panel and consists of three transparent digital displays. One is for information about the driver, the other is for the infotainment system, and the latter is for climate control. An additional attractive feature is the manual steering wheel and the concept seats. The production model based on this concept will be launched by 2020, which will have support for Toro.
