An important Java motorcycle is back on Indian roads after a gap of 25 years.
Classic Legends Pvt. Doo, a subsidiary of Mahindra Group, has discovered two motorcycles – Java and Java forty-two.
"These modern machines have an authentic Java character that balances performance, capability and quality," the company said. "A brand new 293cc engine with a DOHC liquid-cooled unit in the dual enclosure was set up to introduce classic riding rides, making the new Java a true modern classic," he added.
Java and Java Forti Tvo have been estimated at ₹ 1.64 lakh and ₹ 1.55 lakh, respectively.
A reservation for these models has been opened. The company also introduced the factory-customized Java Perak, powered by a 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC engine that develops 30bhp and 31nm of torque.
Perak is priced at ₨ 1.89 lakh, and the reservation will open later.

Boman Irani, CMD, Rustomjee Group, said: "For me and my family, we are proud that the motorcycles of Java are back."
Mark was first launched by Iran by Iran. "We are sure that Javi will get as much love as he had in the past," he added.
