Liverpool's late attempt to overthrow Bayern for Hudson-Odoi

Publication date: Wednesday 23 anniversary 2019 9:31

Liverpool made a late bid to convince Callum Hudson-Odoi to dismiss Bayern Munich and move to Anfield, according to reports.

The Chelsea wing has been in the last 18 months of the contract at Stamford Bridge and although the Blues want to keep it, it seems to be cashing out.

Baiern Munich gave a £ 35 million offer for the 18-year-old after three other bids were rejected.

Hudson-Odoi we understand want to leave Stamford Bridge due to lack of opportunity for the first team despite Chelsea allegedly offering him a new contract worth £ 70,000 a week.

And German newspapers Sport Bild claim that Hudson Odoi and his brother, who is also his agent, met with representatives of Liverpool in early January when they joined the race for his signature.

The report adds that, in addition to confronting Bayern for Hudson-Odoi, the German club is concerned Liverpool RB Leipzig striker Timo Verner could also beat them.

Both Rhian Brevster and Dominic Solanke were taken out Chelsea in the past from Liverpool and seem to be able to do the same again with Hudson-Odoi.
