Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas signed Thursday papers to accede to numerous international organizations and conventions.
According to Ma'san, Abas signed documents for joining 11 international organizations and conventions, including the World Postal Union, the Convention on the Citizenship of Married Women, the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.
In addition, the Basel Protocol on Liability and Compensation for Damage Caused by the Transboundary Movement of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal, the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic, the Protocol on Countries or Territories currently Occupied, the Convention on Marriage, Minimum Age for Marriage and Registration of Marriages, Agreement on the establishment of a common stock for goods and the International Convention on the Hiring of Ships.
