Aspern Papers for opening IFFI-2018




The 49th edition of the International Film Festival of India opens with the world premier of "Aspern Papers" in the presence of its international star actors and crew members.

Set in Venice at the end of the 19th century and based on Henry James's novel, The Aspern Papers is a story about the obsession, the size of the lost and the dream of the Bironic Adventures.

The delegation that will present this film coming to Goa will be lead actor Jonathan Rhis-Meiers, actress actress and golden globe Joeli Richardson and nominee Oscar nominee Julia Robins, besides actress and actress Roman Polanski, Morgane Polanski, actor Nicolas Hau and director , Julien Landais.

This year's Countri Focus segment will feature films from Israel in the mega movie festival, and the State Focus segment will be dedicated to Jharkhand.

The IFFI 2018, which will be held in Goa from November 20 to 28, will feature 212 films from over 68 countries, reflecting the diversity of tastes. At the international section for the competition at this film event there are 15 films, of which three are Indian. This section presents films produced and co-operative by 22 countries.

The international jury for the competition is John Irvin, Adrian Sitaru, Polish director Robert Glinski, Anna Ferraioli Ravel and Indian director Rakeish Omprakash Mehra.

In addition, the festival's kaleidoscopic shots will feature 20 critically acclaimed international films that were at the main film festivals, most of which are the award winners.

The world's panoramic section will include 67 films, which are specially couched for the festival. This section will include four world premieres, two international premiers, 15 prime ministers in Asia and 60 Indian prime ministers.

This year, in the panorama section, 15 films will be screened, representing the Oscars from the respective countries.

Every year, IFFI is characterized by a segment of the focus of the country, which brings the cinematographic excellence and contribution of a particular country. At the IFFI 2018, the focus of the country will be dedicated to Israel. Ten films were selected for this segment in cooperation with the Consulate General of Israel in Mumbai.

The open film for the focus of the country is "The Other Story" Avi Nesher. Important celebrities from Israel, including the famous Israeli actor Alon Oboula, will visit Goa during the festival. Also, an indo-Israeli coproduction seminar will be held on November 22nd.
