All three doubt a trip to Burnley on Tuesday, when United will look at the top of the Premier League, but Solskjaer is confident that his back line will be closer to full strength for the match at Anfield on Sunday.
“I hope [they will be back] for Liverpool, definitely, “Solskjaer said.” I’m not sure if they will make Burnley. We’ll see on Monday. “
A win at Turf Moore United will top three points ahead of the road to Liverpool. They have not competed for the title so deep in the season since Sir Alec Ferguson retired in 2013, but Solskjaer refused to get carried away.
“We are not even halfway through the season, no one will remember what the league table looked like on January 12, 2021,” said Solskjaer.
“I think it’s great that our fans are excited and happy with where we are and that we have this little feeling of excitement, but then we’re not even halfway there. [the season].
“For me, all eyes are on Tuesday, and then let’s see where we are after that.”
