Aibel awarded a water contract for Gudrun

Aibel has been awarded the FEED contract for Gudrun Phase 2 Water Injection. The contract with Ecuinor also includes an option on the real part of the implementation (EPCI).

The FEED (Front End Engineering Design) phase begins immediately at Aibel's headquarters in Stavanger and Haugesund. The project will cover 45-60 people by delivery in June 2019. The FEED contract is worth around NOK 60 million.

The main purpose of the project, Gudrun Phase 2 Water Injection, is to increase and expand recovery from the reservoir. In FEED, Aibel will ensure the maturation of the selected water injection concept in the tank. The task involves study work related to new equipment and pipes for the water injection system. In addition, Aibel will work with integration, connectivity and assembly solutions on the Gudrun platform.

– The award is a statement of Ecuinor's trust and confirms our solid competence and competence. We have many years of experience with such FEED studies and major modification tasks on the Norwegian continental shelf. At the same time, we know the Gudrun platform very well, so I am confident that we will deliver all the parameters, says Aibela's general manager, Mads Andersen.

Inibel, Aibel, delivered the Platform to Gudrun Platform in the summer of 2013, after being in charge of design, procurement, construction and assembly (EPCI).

A possible implementation phase has an estimated value of more than 400 million kronor and starts immediately after the completion of the FEED in 2019. During this phase, the project will engage around 160 people in land and land installations. The necessary fabrication will be carried out in Aibel's shipyard in Haugesund.
