Lingard’s show when West Ham won – VG

(Wolverhampton-West Ham 2-3) After 30 league rounds last season, it was the goal difference that kept West Ham on the right side of the relegation line. Now the London club is in the place of the Champions League.

With an away win against Wolverhampton on the second day of Easter, West Ham climbs to 4th place in the Premier League. They are now four points to Leicester and one down to Chelsea, which has a place in the Europa League with the remaining eight league rounds.

When 30 games were played last season, West Ham had 27 points and were 56 points behind the leader of Liverpool in 17th place. When Easter is over, the London club is three points ahead of last season’s league champions. It’s a bit of a reversible operation.

Jesse Lingard has his share of it. He stood with five goals and two scorers in seven games after coming on loan from Manchester United.

– It was a difficult match, but we succeeded. It was a great victory. Now we have to stay focused in the next matches. There are tough games left, but the guys are ready, Lingard says for Ski Sports.

Lingard show

The 26-year-old improved his statistics when he started ten meters in his half of the field and adjusted his speed towards the goal. After passing two Wolverhampton players, he passed the ball over goalkeeper Rui Patricia after only six minutes of play.

Pablo Fornals raised to 2-0 eight minutes later before Lingard scored his third goal in the West Ham set. This time to Jarrod Bowen.

With 3-0 in the 38th minute, it looked great for the London club. Then came the reduction before the break when Leander Dendoncker used Adame Traore’s tripod with his head.
