The International Space Station is a convergence of science, technology and human innovation that demonstrates new technologies and enables research that is not possible on Earth. The space station is constantly busy November 2000. At that time, more than 230 people and various international and commercial aircraft came to the orbital laboratory. The space station remains a stepping stone for the next major leap in NASA's research, including future missions to the Moon and ultimately to Mars.
