In an attempt to improve the experience of its users, Google announced a new Gboard feature on Monday (12): the automatic suggestion of GIFs, figurines and emails for text messages.
According to Google, the keyboard uses AI technology to propose emoji, figurines and GIFs relevant to conversation subjects that can be used in messages. While writing a message, the GIF icon can appear in the corner of the application, and by clicking on it, Gboard will show some suggestions relevant to the subject to be discussed.
Although Google seems to be dealing with the latest technology, warning that the app requires thousands of emoji and cards to suggest the best that is used in the conversation, according to users who have already tested the new feature, it does nothing more than Apple's iOS keyboard and search key words (such as "birthday", "dance", "marriage", "football," etc.) to suggest GIF and emoji related to that subject.
The tool is already available for all Android devices, but even though Google has already guaranteed that it will be made available in several languages, because now functionality is recognized only by the United States.
