In a statement released, the rating agency Bloomfield Investment announced the end of Senelec's rating. In this regard, Senelec wants to remember the fact. In 2017, Senelec submitted a voluntary financial rating process that remains valid. For this purpose, she consulted with two credit rating agencies approved by CREPMF, which are VARA and Bloomfield Investment.
In accordance with the procurement procedures of Senegal, Bloomfield's offer was accepted. Since these consultations are valid only for the period 2017-2018, Senelec continued with the call for tenders for 2018-2019. Two credit rating management agencies approved by CREMPF (Bloomfield and VARA) submitted proposals for the period 2018-2019.
At the end of the process, and after analyzing the technical and financial proposals, the VARA offer was selected. The VARA contract has been signed and the mission is in progress.
Therefore, Senelec was not withdrawn from the assessment process and reiterates his obligation to comply with all conditions relating to issue of bonds on the regional financial market UMEOA.
