At the four-day hard election of the Republicans at Congress, US President Donald Trump praised the good figures of the US economy, but particularly emphasized his heated rhetoric about immigration.
"We had extraordinary employment figures," he said from the White House before he fled to Huntington, West Virginia, as a campaign team.
In fact, the most recent indicators published before the elections on Tuesday are good: the US economy created 250 000 jobs in October, while the unemployment rate was 3.7%. Another stimulating trend is a 3.1% increase in wage growth, well above inflation.
Nevertheless, regardless of the day-to-day section with Air Force One, its message focused on immigration, topics that are likely to be a form of electoral apathy for Republican voters in mid-term elections.
Since Huntington has recognized that many people have advised him to "talk about the economy," and added, "Sometimes it's not too exciting to talk about economics because we have many other topics to talk about …"
Shortly afterwards in Indianapolis, Mr. Trump told thousands of people: "The fact that we are rebuilding our country after the rebuilding of other countries has added that" http://www.lepoint.fr/ "means the Republican Congress means more jobs, less offense ".
On Wednesday, he announced that up to 15,000 troops could be installed at the border to meet "caravans" "north of migrants from poor Central Americans.
On Thursday, he assured that the US Army could kick off illegal immigrants to the United States. On Friday, he tried to humiliate himself: soldiers "do not have to shoot what I do not want these people to throw stones."
But he also insisted that the United States should have the funniest immigration systems in the world, saying it should be "immediately" reinforced. And warn Democrats who want to welcome "caravan caravans".
"Political Maneuver" Obama says
The president also made a one-week video clip of Luis Bracamontes, an illegal immigrant who was convicted of murdering two policemen in California in 2014, and estimating his crimes during the trial.
"The Democrats allowed us to enter our country … Democrats allowed us to stay," says the text in capital letters in which the killer and the "caravan" are immigrants from Central America who are currently arriving in the United States.
This video, which the Democrats strongly condemned, also caused a major inconvenience to the Republican camp. "This is a disgusting advertisement that every Republican has to say," said Jeff Flake, arizona senator who is "the oldest party" to openly criticize the property mogul.
In the Miami campaign, Barack Obama called it a "political maneuver" a few days before the election, thousands of American soldiers sent to Mexico.
"The men and women of our army deserve better, so we are constantly generating fear to ignore the scale" Republican politics, "he said applauding.
"Let's make history here in Florida," he launched the former US president who traveled to Florida to support Andrew Gillum, the first black presidential candidate for that state, as well as the Democratic Senator and former astronaut Billet Nelson, who re-elected him.
Americans are called on Tuesday to renew 435 seats in the House of Representatives and one-third (35 seats) of the Senate, 36 positions of governors and several local assignments.
If the competition is promising, the latest polls show that Democrats have triumphed in the house, which could become the avalanche of parliamentary research against a businessman as president.
