Uganda signs a technology agreement with Microsoft

(Ecofin Agency) – The Republic of Uganda, represented by the Ministry of Information, Science, Technology and National Guidelines, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Microsoft on November 12, 2018.

Through this cooperation, the American technology society will help the country to create an environment that is perfect for transforming national ICT space into socio-economic development.

"We are committed to providing technical support to the Ministry of ICT and national guidelines for equipping government innovation centers with the tools and skills needed to exploit the ecosystem of the 21st Century developers in the region and developing global technical excellence, Uganda will be well prepared for the development of new generation applications. Initiatives such as our Partner Skills Hub, as well as the identification of the exact AppFactori model will play a key role in implementing this solution. "said Sebuh Haileleul, the state manager for Microsoft East Africa.

According to Minister Frank Tumvebase (photo), Microsoft will contribute to achieving its vision of development through 2040 through 2040. He emphasized that this is an important step because it will enable it to transfer skills and improve the quality of local innovators so that the country can also carry out innovations.
