Hong Kong: Shares open with strong profits, stocks

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong's shares gathered outdoors on Thursday, tracking growth on Vall Street, as investors bet on the result of high school students in the United States prevent Donald Trump from pushing fresh fiscal measures that fuel inflation.

The Hang Seng Index rose by 1.31 percent, or 343.58 points, to 26,491.27.

The Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.71 percent, or 18.75 points to 2,660.09, and the Shenzhen Composite index, which monitors shares in the second stock market in China, rose 0.66 percent, or 8.83 points 1,349.20.
