Moscow, November 6 (TASR) – Rosneft, the Russian oil company, recorded almost three times the net profit of almost 1.9 billion euros in the third quarter. The results were supported by the prices of oil and oil, although they were a bit behind expectations.

The company said net profit for the period from July to September reached 142 billion rubles (1.88 billion euros). Analysts expect a profit of 147 billion rubles.
Revenues in the third quarter reached 2.29 trillion rubles, compared with 1.5 trillion rubles in the same period last year. Increased production was largely contributed.
The company announced that 4.73 million barrels of crude oil was used during the observed period (1 barrel = 159 liters). This is 3.4% more than in the same period last year.
