The British-Canadian company Bombardier, which produces planes and trains, will reduce the number of employees by 5,000 in the next 12-18 months.
The new productivity program will result in annual savings of $ 250 million when it reaches the full rate, which the company expects to happen in 2021.
At the same time, it was announced that Bombardier would sell certain activities described as unfounded activities. Seizure is expected to amount to about 900 million net revenues.
Bombardier adapts its revenue forecast for the full year 2018 to $ 16.5 billion, from a previous lead of $ 16.5-17.0 billion.
The adjusted operating profit forecast is also adjusted to around $ 1 billion, compared to previous guidelines of $ 0.9 billion to $ 1.0 billion.
