Sweden's tax agency seeks King's game of 3.6 billion Swedish kronor

The reason for the increase is that the Swedish Taxation Agency believes that Sweden has missed intellectual property rights over King's software, has collected data and trademarks such as Candi Crush and Farm Heroes regarding King purchased by the American gaming group Activision Blizzard 2016.

– We believe that there has been a transfer of rights from a company in Sweden. We want to tax this transaction by half the value of intellectual property rights, says Robert Glansberg from the Tax Administration.

The Swedish tax agency had previously sought a king more than half a billion crown for the profit that the government considered the king hid in Malta.

Spokeswoman King Charlee Tesch writes in an e-mail to the newspaper that the company "regrets that the Swedish tax agency does not share our opinion on how the kings' business should be taxed in a fair and honest way."

He says, among other things, that the company should continue dialogue with the authorities in order to find a solution to this issue.
