Confused reality on Colombo's streets
On Thursday it looked like an escalation in the beginning. Following the dialogue between the head of state and the President of Parliament, who received some blood supply a few days before, he was told that the lawmaker would meet on November 5th. But a few hours later, another press conference destroyed the hope of a break. The meeting could not be set up so quickly, the Rajapaksa camp was reported. They refer to constitutional paragraphs to prove that everything is in order, officially declared "His Holiness, President Sirison, Honorable Mahinda Rajapaksa" head of government.

In Colombo's many streets, where the mix of rickshaws, cars and tourist groups is normal, the new leadership duo smiles.
