Frank Vatrano went home to Massachusetts in a much better place than when he left last February.
It seems that Boston Bruins, having only played seven games in a span of three months, left out in a number of crises, Vatrano was traded on Florida Panthers within the time limit for the third round.
The Panthers wanted to give the Vatran a chance to play.
It worked out both.
"We all knew there was something," said coach Bob Boughner. "Management has done a great deal by identifying what we needed and making a big deal. He really paid off for us. He is now a big part of our team.
On Monday evening, Vatrano finished the best weekend in his NHL career with a goal and three assists in Florida 6-2 win over San Jose, Panthers's third consecutive victory in a 10-day All-Star break.
