Baker Mayfield summed up his view that Odell Beckham Jr. joined Jarvis Landry in the attack on Cleveland Brovns in this way: Let him break it.
"You could say the same for me, you do not want to tame him," says Brovns told reporters at the Milwaukee Brevers Shelter in Phoenik.
"Just let them be themselves and the right games. That's what they are, and when it comes to that, guys in that dressing room, you will love to play with them."
Mayfield's attitude was his mantra since joining Brown and was part of the reason he set the 2017 record with 27 touchdowns in 2017. His comments came in response to the question of whether Beckham and Landry are great personalities, and perhaps with them . he should just let him go.
Mayfield called the potentially exciting Brovns and said the attack by the team would be "a matter of choosing your poison" with regard to the available talent, which also includes running back Nick Chubb and turning on Kareem Hunt after making a suspension of eight games.
"It's an exciting time in Cleveland, absolutely," Mayfield said. "The fans there, after having had a decent year, nothing of which we were happy [7-8-1], they were incredibly pleased. But now, I can not even imagine.
"I have not returned yet, so it will be really exciting to come back."
