The Games at the XXXIX Olympics will begin on Friday, July 23 and will last until Sunday, August 8, 2021 in Tokyo, Japan.

When is the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Tokyo?

The opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics will take place on Friday, July 23rd. According to the NBC Olympics, the opening ceremony will be broadcast live on NBC starting at 6:55 a.m. Eastern Time and it will be the network’s first live broadcast this morning. Opening ceremony. Primatime coverage of the broadcast will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC, as will the NBC Sports and NBCOlimpics.com apps. Savannah Guthrie and Mike Tirico will host this year’s coverage of the opening ceremony.

Host country Japan, which won a gold medal in softball at the 2008 Beijing Games, begins the Tokyo Olympic Softball Tournament against Australia live at 20:00 ET on NBCSN. The Japanese team is led by a pitcher Ueno Yukiko and an outside player Yamada Eri.

USA Softball begins its quest for its fourth Olympic gold medal when it plays against Italy in an introductory live match at 23:00 ET on NBCSN. Jug Cat Osterman, who is a two-time Olympic medalist in softball, returns to the Games for the third time along with a silver medalist at the 2008 Beijing Games. Monica Abbott.
